This shoot was a special one.
Bodhi is my first, and only nephew, and in two weeks time he will be celebrating his first birthday.
He is such a gorgeous, happy, switched on little man and I just love him to bits! Bodhi and his mum and dad, Emma & Rhys, currently live in Windy Harbour, so I headed down there for the weekend to photograph some special moments at the beach.
We woke up on Sunday morning to an overcast sky, rain and howling winds - uh oh! But alas, this did not spell disaster, we headed down to Salmon Beach in the morning for our first session, this didn't last very long as it was a little bit cold and windy, but the rugged weather and wavey seas created a perfect backdrop!
We headed back to the hut for some lunch and a nap, then we set up for Bodhi's cake smash. Boy did he love this - the expressions on his face were priceless.
In the evening we headed back to Salmon Beach to finish our winter styled shoot down there. And what a miracle, the sun actually popped up to say hello for a short while.
This session would have to be up there as one of my favourite so far.
